Dr.S.Sudhakara Reddy obtained his B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Production) from Kakatiya University, Warangal, M.Tech Degree in Design and Production Engineering (Machine Tools) from N I T, Warangal and M.B.A (Human Resource Management) from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from S.V. University Tirupathi. The research work related to his Ph.D was carried out at Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) and Advanced Research Center for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) at Hyderabad. His area of research includes Tribology, CAD/CAM & Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

He has authored 4 text books and published more than 60 technical papers in national, international conferences and journals. His thesis was published as “Effect of Laser treatment on Tribological behavior of Al-Si alloys” by Lambert publishing Ltd, Germany in 2014

He is a life member of various Professional bodies such as ISTE,SAHTSE ,FIE,IIPE and ISME. He is also member of Global engineering Dean Council(GEDC).

He got the lifetime achievement award in the best administrative category from Undi Ugadi celebrations, AP (2017). He got the LIFE TIME ACHIEVMENT IN ENGINEERING AWARD by Venus International Foundation (VIFA2017), Chennai, Tamilnadu. He Got the best administrator award from IUCEE (2018)

A visionary and a dynamic leader, Dr S Sudhakara Reddy, has rich teaching and industrial experience for over 38 years. As an administrator, he has been instrumental in acquiring accreditation status for most of the institutions that he has worked with. He has spearheaded the transformation of the institution from an ordinary engineering college to a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to produce globally competent engineers. A distinguished scholar with lofty ideas, Dr S Sudhakara Reddy has played a significant role in revamping, restructuring and reorganizing the systems at previous colleges.
